Warranty matters deserve careful consideration by consumers before a purchase decision is made in order to avoid being mislead by advertising related to warranty policy that is dishonest, unclear or intentionally obscure. Some customers discover only when warranty protection is required how some manufacturers deliberately avoid responsibility and critically violate consumer rights.

REGARDING KYMDAN PILLOW

The Kymdan warranty does not apply to all types of pillows e.g. standard pillow, bolsters, cushions, and back support pillows

REGARDING KYMDAN MATTRESSES

• The Kymdan warranty covers all Kymdan deluxe, Kymdan massage, Kymdan Special Deluxe and Kymdan fold away and Kymdan hospital mattresses.
• The Kymdan warranty does not cover the Kydman tourist mattress, the Kydman child mattress and lounge pieces and all small mattress (small mattress are any mattress that’s width is less than 70cm and length is less than 140cm)

The Kymdan deluxe, Kymdan massage, Kymdan Special Deluxe and Kymdan fold away and Kymdan hospital mattresses are covered under warranty in the following situations:

• Mattress becomes indented (see illustration). It does not spring back to its original state after stepped on, laid on and sat on after an extended period of time. You are permitted to jump on mattress as well.
• The latex is burnt or breaks apart (see illustration).

As the Kymdan mattress ages it will become less elastic and easily torn with force. The physical firmness of the mattress will change with age.

• Mattress turning into a darker shade of yellow (this is a natural transitional colour change in rubber).
• Used or stored incorrectly (please see user manual)
• Intentional damage inflicted upon the mattress, such as:
• Direct sun exposure
• Food and liquid placed on the mattress
• Excess weight placed on the mattress e.g. 200kg/dm²
• Dirty mattress.

Note

Present your warranty certificate if your mattress requires care that is covered by warranty. If the warranty certificate is unavailable, KYMDAN still honors its warranty obligations. In such a case, warranty duration is based on coded information on the mattress.

The technical specifications of the mattress do not change during the initial 10 warranty years (except color and appearances). For subsequent years, the technical specifications may gradually decrease naturally, however, the gradual decrease of technical specifications does not affect the user features of the product.

In the event Kymdan finds that mattresses on warranty demands are damaged due to willful acts or essentially undamaged and still suitable for use but customers insist the mattresses are not of good use without sufficient and reasonable substantiation, and demand product warranty rights subsequently for the purpose of unfair competition that consciously aims at Kymdan’s prestige and brand-name, then Kymdan shall resolutely refund 100% value of the product as written on the invoice (without making any monetary deductions) to take the product back (destroy) without accepting product exchange.

REGARDING KYMDAN BED

1. Mattresses: 
   • The mattress is compressed, not elastic and has sunken and hollow areas, so the mattress cannot regain its initial shape and size after a person stands or lies or sits on it for an extended period of time (see illustration)
   • Plastic in the mattress is deformed and rotten due to age. 
     Aged rubber mattresses have seriously reduced physical and mechanical features, such as tensile strength, tear strength and elasticity. These features lead to a useless state that is often called rottenness, in which a mattress is damaged if a user stands on it. 
   • No warranty applies if customers do not follow instructions (see user guide).
2. Bedstead:
   • All frames are warranted if damaged by termites or if timber is not in good condition. 
   • Painting coats are not warranted. 
3. Duration of warranty is 6 years (Bedstead), 10 years (Mattress).

REGARDING KYMDAN LOUNGE SUITE

1. Mattresses:
   • The mattress is compressed and notelastic with sunken and hollow areas and cannot regain initial shape and size after a person stands or lies or sits on it for a long time 
   • Plastic in the mattress is deformed and rotten due to age.
     Aged rubber mattresses have seriously reduced physical and mechanical features, such as tensile strength, tear strength and elasticity. Such features lead to a useless state that is often called rottenness, in which a mattress is damaged if a user stands on it.
2. Frames:
   •  All frames are warranted if damaged by termites or if timber is not in good condition.
   • Painting coats are not warranted.
3. Duration of warranty is 6 years (Frame), 10 years (Mattress).
